I think my house just got struck by lightning. We had a very brief network outage when it struck, but the surge protectors did their job to protect my equipment.

Email validation based on outdated regular expressions that reject my perfectly valid email address ending in a .email TLD continue to frustrate me. The only way reliable way to validate an email address is to send it a confirmation email.

I got an extra YubiKey today, with the intent of storing it securely away from home as a backup, in case my other 2 that I keep and use at home get lost/destroyed.

Upgraded my RSA 4096 PGP key to a new ed25519 PGP key. Not that I use it for much in particular, since no-one sends encrypted email. But one can dream about it.

Learned about SSHFP DNS headers and SSH config VerifyHostKeyDNS today. Set it up for my own domains for personal use.
