maybe he thought he was slick! but the question was 1) obviously worded hedgily enough to allow every panelist to hear themselves in it, so it generated conversation, but it was vacuous, and 2) he was asked to repeat the question, so he had to pull his phone back out and read it aloud, dead giveaway

I'm not just saying this because I blurbed it! I mean what I said on the back cover, life is weird and getting weirder, and he gives us the rhetorical tools to interpret it. His conclusion, elevating the concept of propriety, is the best way to manage the ambiguities of our weird present.
