Installed a Loopy capture card and dual controller mod in this N3DS XL.
Ports are imperfect but the buyer knew this beforehand. Not the worst though.
This one has both mine and Loopy's controller mods, so you get the best of both.
Plug Wii Classic = uses mine.
Plug GCN or N64 = uses Loopy's.

Installed a Loopy capture card and dual controller mod in this N3DS XL.

Kouzex's "dock" still uses Loopy's controller mod with an N64 BlueRetro adapter.
This heavily limits what the controller can do and I'm shocked there are people willing to pay $1500 for it.
It's a shame because of Kouzex can get this far, he can already do so much better, especially for $1.5k.

Fun fact: Fire Emblem: Shadows of Valentia supported the Circle Pad Pro in version 1.0.0, but it was kinda broken.
ZL and ZR acted as L and R, but the actual L and R buttons stopped working, including in the Home Menu when the CPP is supposed to stop working.
Camera control worked fine, though.

"Old" 3DS XLs could easily be found at around $150 in great condition earlier this year. Now you can't find any under that unless they're broken or heavily scratched up.

It's funny to me how the original 3DS has the highest pixel density out of the entire DS family. Due to that, the viewing area of pixel perfect mode for DS games is smaller than the original DS +Lite.

I'm almost sure that Loopy's controller mod is compatible with CY8C4014PVI-422.
If it is, it makes LCM more accessible since that IC is easier to solder.
It'll also mean I won't have to order dozens at a time to make it worth the cost. JLC also doesn't have the original chip in stock anymore.
