Crushing it! Did you end up implementing the quad tree in BP like the linked article or use the native TQuadTree in C++?

Hey Micah! Were these talks recorded by chance? I’d love to check them out, but I didn’t see them on YouTube.

Just took a quick glance at Fork, as it was mentioned in another reply, and it looks similar to SourceTree. Essentially, GitHub Desktop is pretty bad and there are better alternatives for those of us who like a GUI 😆

I like SourceTree. It exposes more command-line options through its GUI, and its branch visualization is easy to read. It’s also quicker to jump into the command line from there compared to GitHub Desktop.

Ah, I see this reply, which partially speaks to this:

Looking forward to seeing how they work in aggregate.
Correct. 3 separate features: assemblies, skeletal meshes, and voxels. None of which is strictly foliage. Each can be used without the other. Can make assemblies and keep as meshes, like the repeated elements on this shield from the original UE5 demo. Or voxelize a single Nanite mesh.

Awesome work, and huge congrats to you and the team! 👏🏽 👏🏽

Is the foliage represented by some new type of data structure to support assemblies, skeletal animation, etc?

You may want to try leveraging neighborgrid for interaction and a height map for environment collision.
