Grateful that we were able to see see her and spend time with her before the end. Every fiber of me wanted to just bring her home and try to last it out, but I know it was better to let her go than have her suffer. Even then, she still looked up at us with those loving eyes.

Heart hurts so much right now. Had to say goodbye to our biggest fur baby, Samara. Had surgery for a wound she got & they found a large tumor all along her back. Made the difficult choice to let her go. We at least got to see her once more for treats and pets.

I've never thought of myself as one who could help ease an animal's fears, but through almost a year of sitting in the room, waiting even after I'd leave food when we watched him, he finally trusted me enough to let me pick him up, was a goal well worth it.

Heart is heavy. Our old roommate informed us that her 18 year old "vampire cat" Shadow passed away. When she moved in 10 years ago, he avoided all men because her ex was mean to him. It took me 10 months to gain his trust. After that, he'd come up and headbutt my hand to get pet.

Few times I've ever broken down in tears from something. My dad doing the bell ringing after his final cancer treatment. He has a follow-up appointment in 3 months with his doc, but with the early detection they did and what they see now, everything is looking good.

Ray, you were a wonderful neighbor to my folks for over 4 decades. You were there at Nik's 1st birthday (pic here) and you knew me before I knew you, before I could even walk. You were a postal worker like my dad and I always tried to mimic his voice when we'd see you. I will miss you.
