For K'rina and Ardbert, the first time she felt that was a completely unexpected moment when he lost his temper and got into someone's face defending her. She'd been defended before, but not like THAT. Not with righteous rage and the absolute certainty that he WOULD use his axe if pushed enough.

For K'rina, the first time she felt like that with Thancred was when he tenderly gathered the torn and bloody remains of her heart in both hands, pieced it together, wrapped it in gauze, told her he loved her, and vowed that he would never willingly leave her side. +

Ardbert is very similar to Thancred, but his first moment he had like that with K'rina was when she fought him to a standstill and proceeded to talk him over to her side. He was so hot and impressed from the fight that he would've kissed her then and there if her daggers hadn't been in the way. +

Yeah, I've had to deal with this with K'rina too. It's such a stereotype that I had to address it in her lore, and is the direct reason why she spends so much time trying to hide her feminine side before Thancred helps her learn how to show it without sacrificing her badass persona.

I'm also really not a fan of the Pld questline just in principle, and I chuck the Dnc one out the window because I HC she learned the art of dancing in Thavnair before ARR. She doesn't USE it much since she prefers Sam and Nin, but she knows it when she needs it.

Your take on Lume's relationship with the Scions is fascinating. It's similar to, but radically different from, K'rina's where she freely pledged her blade fully aware she was their weapon and is cool with it.
I would love to see the scene where they had that argument about her not being a weapon.
