My impulse, when those posts asking you to post an iconic movie scene or line or character come around, is ALWAYS to undercut the pretentious answers with something from Grease. Or Xanadu. Or Point Break. Or Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead. eg

Just for my own satisfaction.

Love to know the publisher's reasoning for 'sunk' in this subtitle rather than 'sank'. I wage the 'sunk/sank' battle in every second edit at least; having the mistake legitimise on a cover hurts.

Crocheted my feelings into this. Not sure it really helped and the 7yo won't let me take it out of the house in case Nazis punch me instead.

I'll take any chance to talk about my first car - a 1960 FB Holden. I'd been obsessed with this make and model for years before I got one when I was 18. Three-speed manual ('three on the tree'), front bench seat, after-market seat belts. It was like driving a 3-seater lounge.

The 6yo loves watching parody songs on youtube, so I introduced him to the original version of one of his favourites. It happened to be Eminem's 'Stan'. 'How do you know so much about this guy?' 6yo asks, and 22yo me weeps, having realised we have become Marge Simpson.
