the concealed carry class I took (which had a very reasonable instructor) pointed out how under ideal marksman conditions, you might only hit 1/3 of shots on a target, and you might have multiple assailants hopped up on drugs that take 3 shots to takedown and so a 6 or 10rd magazine is barely enough
