seeing “rubato” on the sheet music and getting really upset about it

for the record my peak 25m should be roughly 20 seconds and so adding just four laps should’ve added, at minimum, 1:20, ended up adding more like ~2:15 to my recent best time, or… more like ~1:45 to my average lately? i should start graphing this stuff

i’m swimming a slightly longer distance today (+.1km) and i need to have a good time so she’ll compliment me. gaahhhh
