It's not that I prefer Near future over Far future. It's that I don't care as much for depictions of the future with towering chrome buildings and hover cars zipping through the air.

Social features and shop aside. Things like splash screens for roms is a major "but how?" They're selling a product that's designed to be easy and accessible, but there's no way something like that ever could be simple. You'll have to set that up on your own.

I actually liked this a lot more than Alien 3. I don't love everything about it. The humor's very whatever (tbf, it's Joss Whedon). But it's giving me the weird shit and worldbuilding I want to see from the movies. Whereas Alien 3 just didn't do that
