Experimental extreme perspective macro (micro?) renders with the 'zard model, made for a couple friends but some of you might enjoy them.

Got to practice composition and play around with water rendering for both surface waves and droplets.

Earlier this year I committed the mistake of opening the old charizard model I made ages ago, which meant I had to rework it (I don't make the rules). Took kinda too long for how simple it is, but it was good practice at least (?).

Lazy macro render thrown in for good measure.

Royal Reptile (DQX)

Looking at the older renders, the DQ models seem to have aged a bit better on account of being more stylized. This one was rushed at the time and it shows, wish I could rework it now that I'm more experienced. Used to run one in DQM:Joker 3.

King Hydra (DQIII).

Made this back in 2021. One of my favorite Dragon Quest monsters in the series, love seeing them show up every now and then. Very much looking forward to that 1&2 remake.

Used to have on the other site a normal height comparison chart with the OCs and also for the joke one where they were scaled up to their namesakes.

Someone asked for this frame of the latter which just happened to be extremely simple (read: easy) to touch up to make presentable.

Bonus experimental (mega)macro renders with Valgirt, partly done to target a few friends, partly as an excuse to show some of the closeup details. A bit overkill but also a fun challenge to try framing everything and having it make sense.

Valgirt (DQ:Swords / DQM2).

Relatively obscure boss character done for character+environment practice last year. I like Toriyama-style monsters and hydras, good combination.

Reposting the bois: Rigel (centipede), Vega (tigrex), Antares (bahamut).

Re-rendered with slightly better lighting but man do they need a rework. These models are old, outdated and unwieldy.

(also PSA the bug is just a character not a self-insert)
