From my POV, I was thinking, what if someone else thought similar things about you due to a misunderstanding? I wouldn't want them to be upset at you without at least reaching out. t.t

I'm sorry that the commission came out disappointing. That's def. a bad feeling. :(

And even if they messed up, I think we should probably cut them some slack. We don't know what they're struggling with in private. E.g. clients who refuse to pay. Clients making unreasonable demands. People or AI stealing their art. IRL bills. Etc.

Hmm... I think it's completely normal to feel put-off by their actions. But I also think we shouldn't judge the artist negatively without at least talking to them and hearing their side. E.g. Maybe they always post the art before sending the cm and no one has complained yet. o.o

Question: are they refusing to fix the mistakes you noticed?

After you receive the final version of your cm, you could ask them why they posted it early. For all we know, they might not have realized you would dislike it. I think it's generally best to communicate our frustrations with people. One or both parties might learn something valuable. ^^;;

Hmmm... I think this depends entirely on the context, such as the details of the contract. E.g. If you agreed they can post art of your OC(?) on their platforms, then I think they would feel offended if their client (you) tried to control what they can post on their own platforms. 😓

(I am actually holding back so much rage and anger right now for other reasons... let's just say it's JKR-related. But anyway, I don't think talking about that is going to be helpful for anybody.)

I'm going to keep giving people the benefit of the doubt, at least until I've seen multiple yellow and red flags from them.

But it bothers me that the first messages people see from me can be exactly the same as what fake and manipulative people say. :| I guess that's just life in general, eh?

I hate making these kinds of posts, actually. But I hate seeing people fall victim to manipulation by "love" and kindness a lot more.

*sigh* It is what it is. I just hope the hard lessons won't come at too much of an emotional price. :(

It's SO much easier to clean-up after a meal when all the crumbs and spills are on the tray. Likewise with drinks: there's usually liquid on the bottoms of my cups, lol. And if I spill a drink, it'll either be contained within the tray, or won't spill as much if it falls onto the edge. ^^v

Don't get me wrong: it's normal and good to feel a surge of happiness from Likes. I do, too. Heck, I often Like posts because I enjoy giving others that happy feeling. It can be a good thing.

I just think awareness is important. It can save us from being manipulated by kindness in the future.
