Naw thats not the point. Tribe is a political term used to describe the political entities which interact with the US (mine is the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California). My point was that the term Tribe and Indian are used in the same way, as broad political identities.

Indian has been and always will be a name forced onto us by colonization, but it is a term that binds the people of this land together due to our shared suffering. While indigenous is another proper term, its still a colonialized name since its greek and directly linked to colonialism.
