Still disagree. Presumably he has worked on missing cases before, and there are many other missing persons cases active around the country, we would never accuse them of “bad optics” while taking time away. He is in his community, enjoying some time off.

Disagree. This is his job, and he has a right to take time away, rest and recharge. Even if that means going to a basketball game. He has a phone like every other human on the planet and if something urgent came up he could be reached. People are allowed to take time away from work.
