My aunt took me through the nondescript streets above where my grandpa's house was (demolished now)- this road was a stream that ran from a mountain spring, there was a pool where people swam and did laundry. You can still see water flowing down the hill under that grate.

My grandparents' Busan has mostly been destroyed by development, but the city has preserved this one neighborhood. It's strangely full of coffee shops, murals and tourists now, but still tugs at my heart
