It's been a heck of a year in higher education. Yet no school is feeling the pressure as much as Harvard.

In season two of "The Harvard Plan," our podcast miniseries made with @wnyc.org's @onthemedia.bsky.social, we examine why.

Such a great interview.
Miranda July's novel "All Fours" has become a touchstone for how our culture thinks and talks about older women. It’s expanded beyond the page to a kind of movement. On Modern Love, July reflects on the anger and desire that shaped her writing. nyti.ms/4iCUP4j

And now, a note on Bill Owens who, until this past week, was the executive producer of 60 Minutes.

We’ll be back next week with another edition of 60 Minutes.

Now is a good time to listen to The Harvard Plan, the Globe’s co-production with On The Media. The series is hosted and reported by @ilyamarritz.bsky.social. Published in December, it was beyond prescient.

Our new podcast begins on the docks of a Massachusetts city. It involves a rogue cop. A demand for drugs. A phrase he'd used again and again: “confidential informant.”

This secretive system in policing has a dark underside. We found it in New Bedford.
