OK longtime Capitol Hill (and now former) journalist here. Hi.

Gonna put together a little "How to Reach Your Member" primer here for ya.

FIRST BIG RULE: Do not do anything that in any way threatens, implies a threat, etc to a member. This is intended to help you in productive ways.
“I one…”
lol Trump saw the NYT piece calling him old.

Crazy scenario?

1. Tennessee-7 flips to Dems (hey weirder things have happened. *gestures to all of today*) +D
2. Greene steps down -R
3. Texas seat filled +D
4. NJ seat filled +D

Result: 218-216 House

Sen. Elissa Slotkin tells NBC News that Capitol Police are now with her 24/7.

"We've had hundreds and hundreds, if not closer to 1000 threats come in to our phones, our emails" since Trump threatened her and other Democrats.

The thing that strikes me is that when Lindsey Halligan found out that defense counsel was Michael Dreeben, she didn’t immediately dismiss the charges.

It’s MICHAEL DREEBEN. It’s like one google search.

Apparently some people need to learn things the hard way. OK.

By reacting to this in this manner, he’s admitting that he’s ordering our military to commit illegal and unconstitutional acts.
"Their crime? Recording a video that reminded members of the military that they are not supposed to obey illegal orders."

Can you imagine if this had been proclaimed by a democratic president?

One of these outbursts would have been a scandal of the century.

How can he just continue like this?

For the first time, I had to use my dog’s full name to get his attention - BRUCE! KEVIN! SPRINGSTEEN! - and instead of obeying me, he gave me a look of “what the fuck my middle name is….Kevin??” and now I love him even more.

THIS IS HUGE!

If I understand Harry Litman's cryptic post (he's doing it on the fly), Lindsay Halligan & DOJ created a new document that contained only the two counts that were "true billed" by the Comey GJ & presented it to Court as if GJ had voted on that document, which they never saw.
HUGE development IN hearing for Comey selective prosecution motion, It turns out that the grand jury NEVER saw the operative indictment. Whole separate basis for dismissal. Standby for more.

The Ol’ Deem & Pass…

Hours after the bill passed the House on a 427-1 vote, the Senate agreed to deem the legislation passed as soon as it arrives from the House. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer offered a motion that received unanimous consent and will require no further action by the chamber
Congress to send bill to Trump to force disclosure of Jeffrey Epstein files
The House overcame a months-long impasse, and the Senate quickly dispatched with the issue.

Good for Mary Bruce to press on this. Zero part of this question was "insurbordinate" and these are the exact questions WH reporters should be asking.
Q: Why wait for Congress to release the Epstein files? Why not just do it now?

TRUMP: It's not the question that I mind. It's your attitude. I think you're a terrible reporter. It's the way you ask these questions. You start off with a man who's highly respected asking him an insubordinate question

So, what happened tonight? Johnson and Rs were willing to discharge the Epstein petition tonight via unanimous consent, but Dems objected. Johnson says he thinks they “regretted” that decision, but Ds clearly want to put each Republican on record for their vote.

It’ll come to the floor next week

And it’s signed. 218.
Here’s where you can find the Epstein Discharge Petition. If a member removes their name from the petition, it’ll be listed at the very bottom.

So far it’s still at 217, with Rep. Walkinshaw being the last signature on September 10th

If Adelita Grijalva is signature 218 for the Epstein Files discharge petition - that process is immediately over.

So if there is going to be any change by either Nancy Mace or Lauren Boebert - if would have to happen before Grijalva is sworn in today at 4 pm.
