The new tariffs will affect companies that supply the US from plants in Mexico, including American companies and companies headquartered in US allied countries such as Japan and South Korea. Some examples from the auto industry:

I enjoyed spending 2 days at Wilton Park last week discussing the role of UK-Japan partnership in a contested world with experts and policymakers.
