President @BradyUnited.org. Fighting to free America from gun violence. Proud Virginian, mother, and lawyer. Join the movement at bradyunited.org.
Exposing our nation's most vulnerable veterans to danger isn't a win for ANYONE.

This measure undermines background check requirements for vets who suffer from debilitating mental health disorders.

America has a veteran suicide crisis. Protecting at-risk vets means limiting access to lethal means.

We have now reached the longest government shutdown in American history (the top 2, both under Trump.)

Every day that the MAGA shutdown continues is another day that public safety is at risk from a largely unregulated gun industry.

Voters on Tuesday were clear: it’s time for the cruelty to end.

I was thrilled to join @adelemcclure.bsky.social today to cast our early ballots for gun violence prevention champions including @abigailspanberger.com.

Please turn out to vote this Tuesday — lives depend on it.

Honored to join Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee in kicking off today’s Bay Area Mayors’ Regional Conference on Gun Violence Prevention.

Brady is proud to partner in this important convening to build safer communities through collaboration and action. #CA

Thrilled to join Del. @adelemcclure.bsky.social, gun violence survivor Andy Parker, & @bradypac.bsky.social in Arlington last night as we work to elect a gun violence prevention Governor and House in #VA.

With 20 days left, the stakes couldn’t be higher for the safety of the Commonwealth. #Vote

What an amazing night.

So grateful for our hosts Coach Steve Kerr & Tony Xu, all of our special guests, the dedicated Brady team, and all those who came out to the Chase Center last night to support Brady’s mission to free America from gun violence.

Can confirm that they have not.

Winsome Earle-Sears just pledged loyalty to Trump’s agenda on Meet the Press.

In Virginia, this would mean importing his extremism to roll back basic safety protections and put our children and communities in danger.

Virginia voters must say NO.

Gun violence is ashamedly the #1 killer of kids in America. But this crisis is entirely preventable.

Banning assault weapons is a straightforward way that we can honor the families & loved ones of those killed and wounded at Annunciation Church — and prevent a similar tragedy from occurring again.

There are many things that Gov. Cox and I disagree on, including gun safety laws, but on this we agree: Regardless of ideology, we must unite against political violence.

As lead of an organization founded after a gunman tried to kill President Reagan, I urge Americans to listen to these words.
September 12, 2025 at 7:57 PM
This is a dangerous signal for vigilante violence. Our elected officials should be condemning all acts of violence, not promoting more.

The shooting at Annunciation Catholic School had me thinking about an article I read not long ago, "Financial Firepower," and how after a fatal school shooting pro-gun PACs dramatically boost their political contributions.

I talked w/ @teamenough.org's Stephan Abrams about this disturbing trend.

ICYMI: I talked with @morningjoe-msnbc.bsky.social about Trump’s decision to allow open carry in DC.

This is an open invitation for individuals who are intent on doing harm to come into our city and potentially do that harm, making it more dangerous for every person who lives and visits here.

This week has been unbearably painful.

But there is hope: Brady just won a HISTORIC victory holding the gun industry accountable.

I couldn’t be more proud of our legal team at Brady and all the ways they are leading this fight.

THIS is how we prevent future shootings and save lives.

By all means, pray. Pray as much as you need.

But I went to Sunday School too, and I remember this: “Faith without works is dead.” (James 2:14-26)

Whatever your political ideology, there are few moments where action is more appropriate. #MN

Don’t buy the line that “nothing has been done.” We passed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act — and this President gutted its life-saving programs. Yes, we must do more. But change starts with the people in power. Voters must hold them accountable and demand better.
August 27, 2025 at 8:26 PM
If Trump is truly interested in preventing gun violence, we need REAL solutions — not deploying our honored National Guard soldiers to pick up trash on DC’s streets at the cost of nearly $1 million per day.
August 27, 2025 at 7:41 PM
Today’s shooting wasn’t because Catholic schools hold Mass. It was because a gunman had easy access to a firearm.

But sure, let’s have another “security expert” debate usher training & pew evacuation routes instead of real solutions to address gun violence.

This is nothing more than obfuscation.
August 27, 2025 at 5:55 PM
@jenpsaki.msnbc.com couldn’t agree more.

Trump has eviscerated real solutions to address this crisis while simultaneously pushing his “guns everywhere” agenda.

How dare we call ourselves a free nation when our children live with the possibility of being shot and killed at any given moment?
August 27, 2025 at 5:12 PM
It IS a terrible situation. It IS a preventable situation.

We can do two things at once in America: pray AND act.
August 27, 2025 at 3:10 PM
If you think you “need” armed soldiers outside the train station, your leaders have already failed.

This White House and Congress have failed to meaningfully address public safety. Have failed to pass strong gun laws. Have failed to address the gun lobby. Have failed to invest in communities.
August 25, 2025 at 3:21 PM
Been thinking a lot about this headline lately…
August 25, 2025 at 12:10 PM
Orlando stands, unbroken.

The 49 stolen lives at Pulse will never be erased.

You can paint over memorials but you cannot erase the truth: 49 LGBTQ+ and Latino people were murdered in hate-fueled gun violence.

We will never forget.
