It's so very rare to catch all four voids in one photo, but here's one to celebrate our favorite furry family members :)
A picture of my our four black cats in my office: one is sitting on a grey blanket on top of two stacks of white comic book boxes under the window. Another is on top of a small cat tree under the same window to the right of the first. On the floor in front of the cat tree, curled up in a round, cream and grey cat bed is the third. To the right of the window, on the other side of an eight-cube shelving unit full of odds and ends, under a bar height chair, you can just make out the fourth void.

They had me at "burnt honey ice cream", but the honeycomb candy mix-ins are soooo good too. Northshore Boston seasonal treat!
On the left is an ice cream pint container, white with blue and black cow spots on the lid and a blue and white cow with a halo on the front. The creamery's name across the cow is Holy Cow Ice Cream Cafe. The pint label at the bottom says Honeycoma: Burnt honey ice cream loaded with house-made chocolate covered honeycomb candy. On the right is a small dark bowl with a couple scoops of a deep yellow ice cream speckled with darker yellow and chocolate candy pieces.

A white National Grid truck parked on the street in front of our house. Next to it, on the far side of the street, is a John Deere backhoe posed with the narrow bucket above a large, rectangular hole in the street. Everything is covered in a few inches of snow. The hole is directly behind two cars parked in the neighbor's driveway, so we're all stuck inside today!

Got to do two of my favorite things while on business in TX - hit up a local distillery and enjoy some hiking. I'll never got over how differently beautiful TX is from MA. Also, if you haven't tried Balcones and enjoy whiskey, you need to fix that!!

Gonna be sitting down today to start putting together lists: small things I can do when it all feels like too much, larger things I can work towards when the anger is fuel, etc. But gonna start with some kitten pics

Hiking in the desert while visiting family. Looks a wee bit different out here than back home! Also, it's hot as balls this week in AZ, what a time to visit...
A sandy trail with rocky edges and many tall cacti dotting the background. Looking up at a shady rock face, with distinct dark and light stripes and plenty of rusty red markings from iron deposits. A very dry, rocky river bed with some uncharacteristically leafy green trees providing shade A giant saguro cactus with a tall central stem and several short arms about 1/3 of the way up. At the very top of the central stem are two small white flowers placed like eyeballs, which makes the cactus look like a very tall muppet.

Cataloging complete! Media center under the TV is now a throwback to the 90s (yes, that IS a dual tape deck that we inherited. Jaime is glad to have a way to play the few he still has kicking around XD)

The left side is full of two rows of LPs. The right side has the few remaining LPs so there's lots of room for modern expansion. Screenshot of the cataloging app CLZ Music. Beautiful day for an out-and-back bike ride along the Northern Strand Community Trail! Gorgeous community gardens and shared spaces along the route, and a favorite brewery just off the path at the Everett end. A great example of why I donate to groups that support rail trail development :)

Yaaaay for blue cabinets! We went two toned (all the cabinets used to be the same grey) and then had a friend paint a blue mural on the opposite wall. Screw resale value and enjoy your space!!

Most heartbroken for her brother, her littermate. It was honestly difficult to find pictures of just her because they were so often curled up together.

Had to say goodbye to our best girl today. She was the softest cat I've ever known. Loved sunny spots and fresh grown grass, and head scritches right up until the end. Grateful we could all be with her when the time came.

Game 1 of the #PWHL Playoff Finals, and these games are the shit. Third time I've made it to Tsongas and seriously looking at season tickets next year!

I cannot EXPRESS how proud I am of Icarus, our elder boy cat, and how's he's being with the new kittens. Like - they have been mingling only since Monday evening and only during the day time up til last night. This level of progress is way more than I had hoped for at this stage!

There are new fur babies in our house! Aside from this brief moment to nom some food, they haven't stopped scampering about since we brought them home this evening, as is only right for siblings just under 12 weeks old XD

Gotta say, happily surprised that our cats have immediately taken to our "beginning of holiday sales season" purchase (starts so much earlier than black friday now...). Couldn't quite stomach the full retail price, but I understand why so many have now!
