I guess it Cyber samurai look, like Gray Fox/Raiden? A peculiar choice nonetheless

Bretonnians from Warhammer are my favorites as well

Always loved how armor was done in Excalibur movie!
November 25, 2025 at 11:43 AM
Oh, a black gal shown in the first 6 minutes of the show! Well, that is a rare one for 1982 anime. Good, good.

This dude's name is Global. Captain Global.
God, old mecha names are something
November 7, 2025 at 7:44 PM
Started watching OG Macross! Have to force myself to watch anime nowadays, but that has been in schedule for a while.
And you know, I love that I see *passion* for the craft in the few first minutes. Artists here love drawing military hardware, and it shows

So we had an incident - a Parus bird managed to fly into apartment. Chaos ensued, Siri tried to catch the damn bird, but mom managed to shoo away bird outside before it was caught.
So Siri is now pissed that bird got away.

So if the 1s game was a cohesive story about familial struggles, understanding and reconciliation, 2nd is far less thematically solid, and ending is frankly baffling.
It is still a good game fights are fun, art is gorgeous, so I still recommend it. 3/5

Hades 1 was carried by its plot and characters, and the fact that in Hades 2 it dips noticeably isn't good. Especially because it seems SG doesn't want to engage fully with some ugly sides of Greek myths, trying to be *wholesome*, while using characters from tragic stories.
October 5, 2025 at 2:29 PM
Completed plot of Hades 2!
Gameplay is noticeably better than 1st game, better locations, better enemies. Plot and dialogues took a nose dive though - imo, this time, trying to keep roguelike loops as part of a narrative back fired a bit.

So yes, the hype is real. I highly recommend this game... to everyone really, the barrier of entry is so, so low. Entertainment... for the whole family!

And this is another point - devs love the genre! It plays so much with tropes and cliches of it, but it in such loving, caring manner. Not mocking any of the usual staples, but exploring them in a way not really seen before.
September 5, 2025 at 9:02 PM
The game tricks you initially into a sense of safety of the genre - "There is a genociding villain we must stop!", a staple of RPGs around the world. And while it doesn't *lie*, there is so, so, so much more to initial premise you are given.
September 5, 2025 at 9:02 PM
One thing I will highlight is how this game is*personal*. It has such intimate relationships with all of its characters, it is probably the most memorable part of the game - how protagonists, companions and antagonists have a web of relationship far more complex than usually seen

And I have completed Expedition 33!
What a ride! For a debut game of a studio, it is such a strong move! The game deserves all praise it got, really. I won't say it did anything revolutionary, but it is a case when sum of components is more than each individual part
September 5, 2025 at 9:02 PM
Here, skills, animations, special mechanics of each characters enhances them. You probably will have favorites in gameplay terms, and this is awesome! They aren't interchangeable here, each with their own caveat in battle, which makes it a memorable experience.
August 30, 2025 at 5:53 PM
A lot of ppl praised plot, art design and music, so I will touch on another aspect - move sets. Move sets here for each character are unique, and add so much to their image! Too often kits of characters in party RPG feel "generic" and "whatever".
August 30, 2025 at 5:53 PM
So, I am on Act 3 of Expedition 33 (Last of 3 acts).
Is the game as good as people talk about?
Yes, it is. All the hype you heard?
All true. I don't guarantee everyone will like it, bc there is no true art which can be liked by everyone. But it is an exceptional video game.
August 30, 2025 at 5:53 PM
I maybe will changed my opinion at a later date, but who knows.
Oh, why tf game lacks glossary/codex? Especially considering that it loves its imaginary terms for power system, lack of codex of any kind is... annoying, especially because how some of the terms are used in dialogue
August 17, 2025 at 4:11 PM
So far, I don't think that real time elements add that much to the combat. I think traditional turn based system with a bit more resource management would have been far better. Real time elements in combat feel a bit out of plays and I don't like the flow of battle it makes
August 17, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Started playing Expedition 33. Art and music are as good as screenshots/trailers suggested, amazing art direction. Prologue is very good for capturing you in game's narrative hooks, one of the better example to how establish a story.
Still on the fence on whole parry/dodge though
August 17, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Oh, and if you don't like horrors, the game isn't really scary. There is like one segment towards the end which is horror like, and few moments scared there and there. But despite not being scary, game is great at great at creating tension and urging you forward.

Just beat My Friendly Neighbourhood!
I don't really like survival horror genre, but I had a blast here! Nice gameplay, great locations and though plot is simple, I think it's message is all the more important nowadays.
I took my 4 hours to beat, and really, it was amazing!
August 12, 2025 at 5:10 PM
I have beaten Rage 2.
It is... fascinating how ppl can write a world, set up narrative hooks and then to proceed to do nothing with them.
For example, there 4 enemy factions in the game. Plot uses only one of them, the rest are relegated to shooting dummies.
