@notthebe.ee hi! I was tinkering hella a lot with Raptor Lake W680 server board with pretty powerful BIOS, but without a lot of success unfortunately. I managed to get C10 only without GPU. Here is my full journey, feel free to ask!
ASRock Rack W680D4ID-2T/G5/X550 C-states / ASPM problem
Hi, recenly got this board, but cannot figure out how to go below pkg C2 (pc2). My setup: CPU: i9-14900K RAM: two 48 GB ECC UDIMM sticks from Kingston Motherboard: ASRock Rack W680D4ID-2T/G5/X550 (...

The situation around Windows/Linux laptops is bizarre. While AMD clearly has a lead in the Intel vs AMD race, Apple is just smashing both of them.

@passkeys.dev could you please somehow highlight that even the latest Android 15 doesn't allow to create Resident Keys (aka discoverable credentials) using even newer FIDO2.1 Security Keys?

Okay, PDS supports OAuth2. But how I can view to which apps I provided access and revoke it?

@tangled.sh I have finally finished my knot dockerization, it includes everything. You need to only mount volumes and publish ports (5555 and 22): tangled.sh/@tangled.sh/...

@tangled.sh could you clarify please, which user should own repositories? When I create repository it's owned by root:root and I cannot push to it, but if I manually chown -R git:git it starts to work. It could be error at my side, since I am trying to run it under rootless Podman.
March 24, 2025 at 11:36 PM
@tangled.sh is it possible to remove repo? I am trying to Dockerize my knot, have to debug a lot, since I am getting a ton of errors, but it seems like there is no way to delete created repos. Maybe there is some programmatic way?

Kinda finished my homelab setup! I hopefully will add new drives soon and probably buy another two 48GB RAM sticks.

I ended up using Fedora CoreOS and Terraform/OpenTofu to deploy the core of my homelab.

Firefox 135 has been released and it finally supports FIDO PRF extension. So you can setup truly passwordless log in Bitwarden vault!

@filippo.abyssdomain.expert did you dig mkosi and entire systemd stack around their immutable OS concept? I liked you giant initrd concept, however Pottering and his team went much deeper IMO: 0pointer.net/blog/fitting...

today i found out that without setting PL4 (which is usually hidden) your server will just randomly shutdown even under light load. so basically you cant use PSU like mine HDPlex 250W. intel just sets crazy default values like 320-450W

tbh i didn't know that achieving deep C-states with desktop/server platforms is SO hard. platform itself, connected devices, kernel, drivers, basically everything contains bugs

finally have enough parts to launch this board!

- Intel Core i9-14900K limited to 125W (90% perf)
- 96GB 5600 ECC
- two DC2000B nvme boot drives with power loss protection
- HDplex GaN 250W PCU

not on the photos: four enterprise SATA SSD drives 1.92TB each

Spotify’s management will kill this company. They announced Hi-Fi literally four years ago. They are now testing Supremium and some add-on paid for at least two years. Also they have finally released AI DJ, but I will probably die until it will reach my market.

Does ALPN help clients to negotiate HTTPS/3 connection? As far as I understand there are two working methods right now: Alt-Svc header and HTTPS DNS record. But what about "old" ALPN which was used back then HTTP/2 was adopting?

Are there someone interested in a service where you can get did:web account and handle in a semi-automated way using CNAME and TXT entries only? Service will host your did-document, you don't need to own VPS, PDS or whatever. Only domain.
