The story unfolds in a way that allows the reader to shift gears in thinking about the characters. Some initially irritate and repulse, but as more of the tale comes to light, the reader is forced to re-evaluate, sometimes two or three times. The book is far more 𝑅𝑎𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑚𝑜𝑛 than 𝐴 𝐹𝑒𝑤 𝐺𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑀𝑒𝑛.

Are we sure that isn't Jeffrey Epstein on the far left? Did anyone ever attend the "funeral" after he allegedly killed himself in prison? What if Epstein simply walked away and headed straight to Pinker? I'm happy to repeat these hallucinations to the 𝐷𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑦 𝑀𝑎𝑖𝑙.

In the forthcoming bio of Schopenhauer by David Bather Woods, he mentions a female friend of Nietzsche characterizing AS: "But it seemed to give him such relief to talk to a human being! The man seemed to me so lonely, so unspeakably lonely!" (p. 153)
