A neurobiological tool born out of EDMR, used to process trauma & build strength (more precise than EDMR). Licensed therapists can get training. It can be telehealth, tho I get in-person most. I first chose it because you don’t have to talk much during the session unless you want.

I’m so glad they noticed this & will address it! I’m disabled, and had my dad drop me off at the polls in the daytime to avoid long lines. I prepped myself with necessities for 30mins, but it was 2.5hrs. There were about 4 seats in the back the line. Otherwise, I ended up leaning against the walls. If I’d come in the wheelchair, I wouldn’t have fit in the hallway; both sides of it were lined with voters. Walking people could barely squeeze through the two walls of people. I was fading. A kind fellow voter noticed, asking if I was ok. They then escorted me to a couple seats located up front, near the door to vote. Someone else escorted an elder there too. I didn’t know about those chairs. There wasn’t signage anywhere in the line with information for people with disability or for elders. The poll workers were AMAZING & super attentive once it was my turn. So the *actual* voting, though difficult and time-consuming for me, was also 100% accessible for me. Nothing else was. It took me a few days to recover from the ordeal. Thank you SO much for reporting on their plans to do better; it gives me a little hope. I’m so glad you’re on this site, keeping Alaskans updated.
