All the Chinese government did was stop the Chinese fans from enjoying her music. It's just pettiness. It punishes their own citizens more than anything

Also, it's likely she's supposed to be saying "I love you" but that's not simple to translate. Secondly, her voice is far too deep for this character. She's intended to sound more softer and younger. And why do they always give these dudes soft, ASMRy whisper voices? It doesn't fit!

For the pushback against AI to work, you either need to focus on the inhumanity of it or you need to ALSO push back against bad acting in English dubs. If you only say "lol AI dubs sound bad", you'll lose the war in just a few years. And we cannot afford to lose this war.

Video above is an example of a recent anime dub with real humans. Netflix. But the acting quality is complete shit. And yet casual anime viewers (mostly dub watchers) accept this because "it's better than nothing" or "it's better than reading subtitles". They'll say the same about AI.

Not really an "accident" when they didn't do shit. YouTube forces it on and the setting only disables it for videos uploaded AFTER you disabled it. Gotta manually fix older videos

Medalist!! Though I had major issues with the official subs. The fansubs aren't perfect either but I'd definitely say they're better. But if you're not picky it's on Hulu or something. Either way, fantastic show.
