Update: I just ran the numbers (converter site) and out of the 2.8k accounts I follow over there, only around 750 have existing accounts here, let alone use them.

From what I've seen, a lot of it had to do with having big followings that were enough to sustain them financially that simply would not be possible here.
Also, people *did* spread the word, but like I said, a lot simply chose not to because they didn't have hope it would work.

The scale of this app is also simply just smaller (on the surface): Taking myself as an example, roughly only 1/5 artists I follow have an account here, let alone post with parity on the other site.
People are still holding on to that place as a bastion for connection, despite how corrupt it is now

Those that didn't, probably think this site is either only a temporary solution or wasn't going to take off. Even with those that did, not all of them post as often here as they do there; There are many accounts that just don't bother posting here as often, so there's still a reason to go there 2/?

I've noticed that a lot of people here love to make the statement "Why does anyone still use that app", and while I understand the implications of what they mean, I think we're forgetting something here: A lot of people either have not or cannot jump ship to here 1/?

There's no shame in taking time to heal or understand yourself more.
And, if you can't manage to give yourself a reason, think of it this way: The best thing you can do for your future partner is take care of your issues now so they won't have to face their consequences as well :)
