Yesterday, I had the privilege of delivering a lecture to the State Minister of Planning of Minas Gerais, Brazil. We discussed key lessons from the UK’s system of policy evaluations and how these insights can help strengthen evaluation practices in Brazil.

I had the pleasure of attending the 10th anniversary of Project360, a secondary responder programme to support victims of domestic abuse (DA), and seeing old and new team members. Jesse Matheson, Réka Plugor and I ran the RCT to evaluate its impact. A short thread on the story behind the research.

Very glad to see our paper 'Maternal Dengue and the Health of Children' with Lívia Menezes in print in April issue of AEJ: Applied. Using matched admin data from Brazil, we show that maternal dengue infections reduces birth weight (BW) substantially, increases the chance for low birth BW (1/n)
