anyway mostly thinking that it feels that building your leftism on appeals to nostalgie is a bad idea

personally i think i *am* immune to nostalgia, just that that immunity came at a cost (trauma)

then again, i've also talked about how my life experiences - crappy childhood, college ruined by covid - have made me not just mostly impervious to a lot of the nostalgia that hits my age cohort, but actively annoyed to shit by appeals to nostalgia in general

tbh i wouldn't be surprised if its a phenomenon i'm resistant to because of my crappy childhood and covid ruining my college years by making me drop out

in our case, the government's policy didnt really help that much at all. the most positive it's been is "not actively torpedo the country"

but there's so many problems standing in our way today that looking back i feel like the americans are getting a little too rose tinted about it y'know

i think its just that i see a lot of americans pining for the 70s to 90s or whatever when you supposedly could one-job pay your way through college but where i live so many people have only begun to be able to escape the trap offucking subsistance farming for crappy city jobs in the past two decades

gonna have to be the first but i will complain about it

so either the monitor flashes black and goes to a much darker shade whenever i click the focus onto my second monitor, i have part of the screen obscured, or i have to play on 1280x720 (not happening i have standards)

cassette beasts looks great am im sure its gonna be exactly my kinda game but augh the windowed mode doesnt work either because the bottom of the screen gets hidden under my taskbar
