Unsure about linux support but I was told it's plug and play under windows without downloading any software from the manufacturer so I assume Linux may detect it as well

Latency is just as good as an elgato, but yeah resolution isn't the greatest. I've been looking into upgrading to an EVGA XR1 Lite as recommended to me by @thunderthr.bsky.social and that does 1080p60, they're all over ebay used for like $50 so that'll probably be my next upgrade
