European? Funny, that. A relative just shared an events flier from their parish that's written in English and Vietnamese.

Sounds a lot like Providence, Rhode Island before they fixed it. There are clearly some people who should not have been allowed to design highways.

There's another way to do it?

Oh my, I've made that one! Truly a disaster to "fowl" up such a delicious recipe.

On the White Eagle, 12 men. Two with the Ocean Belle, and 4 from the M. L. Wetherell.

That's 63 men from one town, in one year. Fishermen and shipmasters. Gloucester's population in 1870 was just over 15,000.

All to bring in food using wooden sailing ships.

When I was 12 I played my parents' copy of Yellow Submarine over and over till I'd memorized all of it. Still know most of it and I have my own vinyl copy now.

I recall the rabbis held that carrying things outdoors is definitely work, which is why they invented the eruv (ערוב). So getting this done without carrying the food is best.

(btw, whatever you say about my name is answered by "it is *now*")

🙃 It really does look like that at first glance! 😄

The Crimson's really stepping up to the moment. Setting a better example than the institution's so-called leaders do.

I want a cheap express from Hartford to Boston. Or from Windsor, which will probably have more parking & definitely less traffic. I can make do with existing routes to NYC, but last time I checked, the New Haven to Boston route takes longer than driving. (Maybe Acela is faster but it's more $$.)

Five more to go! Later. 👋

It's true that the government doesn't necessarily have to *do* anything in response to petitions. But it's a lot harder for them to ignore what the people want if the people have the right to tell them.

And it'll be quite obvious if they government's unresponsive, too. (72/??)

And so, you have to listen to them.

Well, for "redress of grievances, or other proper purposes." This is not blanket permission for people to petition for *corrupt* purposes, or asking the government to violate the law or the constitution. (71/??)

That's a tidy way of calling back to Sec. 2, "all free governments are founded on [the people's] authority, and instituted for their benefit."

Don't forget, this provision says, being part of the government is a responsibility, temporarily given by the people. (70/??)
