people always say how dess parallels susie, but not how kris parallels lancer. as tenna said, kris loved dess as a kid, and probably found a relation to her and they bonded with it like no one else. lancer and susies dynamic is so reminiscent of how kris and dess grew up #deltarune

i think something really telling is that NOBODY in deltarune actually is willing to follow the prophecy. EVERYONE has either been conditioned, manipulated into following it, or it's all theyve known. it reminds me a bit of colonialism in that sense
