Just came across this quick pencil drawing in one of my old sketch books. This rough sketch became the basis for one of my 4’ x 3’ oil on canvas paintings which has been exhibited across Canada, in the US and in Barbados.

Oil on canvas. I have gone through different phases in my artistic journey. But in every phase, I’ve tried to capture the essence of what I observe and let the viewer read into my artwork what s/he/they will.

I drew this surreptitiously on a train headed to BC 🇨🇦. The unwitting model was one of my mates from the @mcmasteruniversity.bsky.social choir. We gave a series of concerts across Western Canada 🇨🇦. I took my sketch book along to record the personalities of as many of my colleagues as possible.

Despite the snow on the ground, I have one apple tree in the backyard that keeps on giving of its fruit. This is the final batch of apples from that one tree. I think it produced over 300 apples.
