That is the point I am making. It’s easy to be an idealist as a candidate. As an elected representative, it’s about strategy and compromise to serve the people and the greater good.

It’s fine to want a progressive candidate, but shitting on Mamdani for making this calculated decision to work with the existing levers of power rather than alienate himself from the existing structure is short sighted.
