Take-having is frightening and scary. Much prefer to just boost the takes of others to maximize my plausible deniability in case they're actually so extremely wrong.

"Sorry officer, must have accidentally reposted that eight month old hot take instead of cat memes. Silly me."

Yup. Judge Gibson chose Plaintiff Map 1 with the concentrated North SL County district.

Saw the knockdown from across the valley on Redwood. Thought it might have been the Younique campus at first.

FIVE? What could possibly warrant FIVE in a day?

While I prefer almost every aspect of Cormorant Garamond to the original Cormorant (it all just feels cleaner and more polished), losing the sharp calligraphic stroke on the italic Q's tail is a bit sad!

Are these Babish cookies? 👀

Maybe it was familiarity of the party colors, since the Republicans in the US use red. 😛

No thanks, I prefer being on the flanks of the disaster, not right in the midst of it! 😅

Handling emails from students, teachers, and staff and trying to implement outage contingency plans pales into what I imagine is happening in the AWS teams right now.

Another consideration is that some self-hosting schools might themselves be using AWS. I remember seeing at least one school talking about doing so on the Canvas community a few years ago.

Though, really, from what I understand self-hosting is relatively rare (in the US at least).

Most schools & districts go for Instructure cloud hosting, so not surprised!

I can say that, here in Utah, all of the public universities opt for that since the state foots the bill.

It looks like Univ of Georgia and Univ of British Columbia might both be self-hosting?

It's possible your instance of Canvas is self hosted by your university! Some universities (especially larger ones) opt to self-host because it can end up being cheaper for them, or otherwise give them fine grain control over their instance.
