I know nothing matters anymore but it does break my brain how much time and effort they spend on what is literally “virtue signaling” bullshit like this when they spent decades saying that’s all the left did! They just renamed NREL because it had “renewable energy” in it. It’s so fucking pathetic

This is a great way to phrase it and points out another huge issue. If universities side with students over instructors (unless absolutely warranted) it destroys any credibility of the instructors and voids the educational compact between learner and instructor. It invalidates the university.

This is why I don’t understand why universities haven’t been screaming at the top of their lungs since January. If you won’t fight for yourself why would you expect anyone to fight for you? (Note this applies mostly to administrators)

Thanks for your work on this. Just finished listening to the episode. IIRC the listener selections started at 50% by default. I’m wondering if defaulting them to 0% instead would help push the % down since we know overall us listeners rank too high? If I’m wrong on the 50% default please ignore.

On second reading though: Grok does say Jesus focused “less” on scalable tech solutions. Which implied he focused on them somewhat during his earthly ministry. Also should probably be included in said Catechism. Truly groundbreaking stuff.

Man, Jesus really took an L by not focusing on scalable tech solutions when he had the chance. Gonna have to update the Catechism to reflect that failure

I know it’s a bit cringy. But I do think that dem governor staffers could do worse than watch LWT and use that to push policy. Thinking of the one from two weeks ago around felony murder. That’s something that would be “easy” for states to ban and the argument to do so was laid out in 20 minutes

I’m surprised it took them this long to see the potential threat to their business model. Prediction markets are (to my understanding) better in every way to the user than traditional gambling (with the caveat that I think all this stuff sucks!). Curious to see your read on this once you dig in!

100% this. I’ve been beating the drum since day 1 at my job that Trump 2.0 isn’t Trump 1.0 precisely because of this. Whatever you thought about Mattis, Kelly, Tillerson, et al they were all professionals at least. And there were at least a handful of non-trumpy republicans in congress.
