IMO it’s even worse when you think about this being planned and scripted so this was … Drumpft intentionally raging and he/they/someone thought this was to his advantage to put out to the American people. It’s like they went to the “Just yell louder till they get it” school of comms.

He is a DEEPLY disordered person. He does not care about norms, guidelines or laws. So he goes to places no normal person would.

I wouldn’t put it past this administration to have specifically engineered a conflict to begin over the holidays to minimize attention on it and make it more difficult for Congress to kick about it.

Agree with a whole lot of the possible reasons expressed for the pardons. I’d add one more specific “grace note”. I think he probably gets a mood boost with pardons, cause that shows - very clearly - he has undisputed power. He is king like. So … in a way he may do pardons like others do drugs.

What a whiny thin-skinned coddling of young adults. College is a time when your opinions, positions etc are going to be challenged because you are exposed to new information. You don’t like what a Prof says? Argue against it w facts and logic or suck it up and move on.

The GOP is fully complicit in the healthcare debacle but - arguably - Trump is “the face” of this neglect. And what a face. Concerned only w himself. Devoid of empathy for others. A simpleton who seeks to understand nothing because he “knows more than anyone about” [fill in the blank].

The GOP has - realistically - had 15 years to come up w their own “better” healthcare plan since the ACA was enacted. They’ve come up with NOTHING! All they do is run the ACA down and say we should replace it. But … always. Always, the first step they advocate is to repeal the ACA. Yeah. Sure.

As a survey practitioner for nearly 40 years, I certainly understand the BS being perpetrated here. Seen a number of such abuses before. Still makes me a little sick tho. Maybe they’d get more traction if they made the 91% even bigger? <— sarcasm font

Other than the whole issue of facts being a good thing to have in a source … this reads to me like a whining snowflake wrote it. Which is wonderfully ironic given the tough guy take-no-prisoners approach of a lot of the right wing. “Look at me. I’m big and tough! Hey, no fair. He was mean to me!”

My hope is this ties up any building on his part for the next three years.

My assumption since about February is that everything out of the Whitehouse is a lie until other (non-Whitehouse) sources confirm it.

I am, of course, dismayed at such use. And yet, I am not surprised. Among other things, the AI folks have been hemorrhaging money so they need to make their product attractive to buy. And what’s more attractive than maximizing the $$ you can wring out of the populace by any means? Just like forever.
