Don't get me wrong, I really like NH, and I'm enjoying it. I just wish they would build in more interaction options in the next Animal Crossing game.
The residents seem more like decoration in the game.

In NH, they're just... there? Sure, you can interact with them, but it just doesn't feel the same as it used to.
There are days when I don't even get a task, or at most one.

They could have added an option where you could actively ask them for a task, like in the GC version.

They often asked for specific clothes that you had to get for them, or furniture from a set or theme (such as blue furniture), or wanted certain seasonal insects, which you could even lose if you took too long to get Thema.
When gardening, they even planted flowers around their house themselves. ...

Wild World always had little tasks, and tbh, I miss even delivering letters from resident A to resident B. In Wild Worle, the villagers had hobbies such as collecting furniture, collecting fossils, gardening, fishing, fashion, or collecting insects. [...]
