It would be better to just not do the video than to go in without some research and an honest attempt to make it work through good prompting than to just make a meme vid. You'll just end up with no one being particularly happy with the result, I think.

FWIW, I've watched some channels experiment with it and the results were surprising and then tested it myself - when properly prompted and guided, you can get a short adventure that's competent. It excels at off the cuff role-play with npcs, does reasonably well with story consistency and stats...

The outage in '05 was what pushed me to try Second Life just so I could keep socializing with friends and the community. I guess now, there's just too many little hubs everywhere that FA isn't that central anymore. All about them social medias and tikity-toks and skibidi toilets now :)

Fun times indeed - I used to enjoy creating little gift pictures for folks back when I was drawing often. Glad you still enjoy the piece :)

I don't envy you that task. What I'd say there - if you can swing it, it might be worth looking into a photo scanner (seems they do documents, too) that'll do a stack at a time. They are $250-400 but your time is worth something.

If you still have the negatives, it might be worth getting those professionally scanned and print from there just to pull out more picture info to get better prints and/or you could look at taking those to a photo lab for re-printing. It'll be pricy-ish though.

Do you still have the negatives for these photos? Is the end goal to have 4x6 photo prints? If you just have the digital scans you are printing from, it might be more cost effective (and get better results) if you take the photos you want to print to a kiosk at a drug store and have it do the prints

he got frustrated and swore off finishing it. He moved on to other writing but nothing furry adjacent again. Supposedly there is a lot of notes for the next two books or so in a desk drawer of his. Always hoped that might be recovered some day.

Such a good read and a shame it was never finished. As I understand, the major issue was the dispute between him and publisher and sadly he had sold the rights to the story, so there was no option to publish elsewhere. Then the furries started hounding him about finishing...
