Lee: Father of the family, raised Yao and Kai as a single dad after fleeing from an arranged marriage. Now works as an attorney for preds Yao: Younger of Lee and Rory’s sons. He was conceived within a wild magic zone which lead to him being born as a chimera with an excess of mana. He’s learned to channel that into his strength, becoming a skilled mage and professor of magic. Kai: Older son of Lee and Rory, perpetually angry he didn’t inherit any of the Lion genes in the family, only getting his grandmother’s housecat traits. A big, ornery bully, Kai makes a living running a card and comic shop downtown where he frequently hosts events that end in him eating a lot of his customers. Rory: Yao and Kai’s other dad. Originally from the mainland, he traveled to the isles for training. There he fell in love with Lee, the heir of one of the local clans. Due to his affair with Lee he was sentenced to exile, patrolling the borders of a wild magic jungle. When Lee asked him to run away with him he refused, his pride demanding him to fulfill his sentence. 25 years later he’s returned, slowly attempting to reconnect with Lee and his sons.

Yao’s extra large monster form with @grizzlburr.bsky.social for reference! The lion and goat heads can both think and speak independently, and each have a distinct part of Yao’s personality, with the goat being the smart, sensitive side, and the lion being the brash, outgoing side.
