These were some of the birds that I got to see at the Catoctin Preserve. They will feature in a video that I'll be posting for a children's video soon. They were really pretty. My favorites were the pair of scarlet macaws that were virtually inseparable during the time that I was there.

*sigh* Well, I got so the way to the train stop for the zoo and forgot to reserve a ticket. I really wish I would have remembered to do this before I left, because as it is, thanks to the government being in disarray, the zoo and every Smithsonian museum is...closed. 😮💨

Still breaking in this new sketchbook. This is the first Sweet Shoppe character that I've drawn on its pages. Of course it's Sweetheart, the owner of the very café. Sweetheart is one of my more vivacious girls. She's modest, feminine, and a voluptuous beauty.

Hmm...I suppose Night and Mhina would fall into the "friends to lovers" category, but I don't know if it's a trope. They had known each other since they were kids and became a couple in, what we would consider, high school. They've been romantically together ever since.

I went to #Otakon over the weekend and had a great time. It's the first time in a very long time that I've gone to a convention and NOT been behind the table. I just walked around, took a few pictures, bought a few things, and enjoyed the show. It was nice. ☺️

This was the last of the completed pencil drawings in the series that I did a few years ago. Plum was the most recent one I had completed, though. This is, Candy. She's my little tomboy, but still a radiant queen, just like her mother. Her mother, Coral, was a model.

So, I lost my pencil bag. I had that case for YEARS, but after visiting my sister in NY...I lost it somewhere between there and my trip back home. 😭 After looking everywhere for it, I had to face facts: it was gone.
