Trevor led the special with a rapid turnaround; it was his vision to quickly tell the stories of these people impacted. He was also promoted to Chief Meteorologist around the same time that Spring, and I admired his dedication to our viewers, making his first editorial decisions as Chief for them.

The next goal naturally is to win an award (perhaps by year 12?), but whether or not the Academy chooses us or one of our talented fellow nominees, that's not important to me at this point. I'm so glad to have earned this recognition!

It was a week which affirmed for me this is what I was meant to do, and I feel it is the defining event for why I am proud to be a Meteorologist.
A few years ago, I said I wanted to earn a nomination for an Emmy Award by year 10. I am proud to have accomplished that goal.

During a lull in activity, I spent about eight minutes recapping and breaking down the anatomy of the Lake City tornado, a video which garnered tens of thousands of views on our YouTube page. Over 30 tornadoes touched down over the course of four days, with live coverage lasting many hours each day.

These stations are reporting visibility reduced to <0.25mi, it just is oddly displaying it as a “-“ rather than a “<“
