Wanted to show one of the way the Baleens would get their food.
This is considered a very lazy, relaxed method when you just want a quick snack, not a full on proper 'hunt' as it were.

Some expressions for the Baleens. Trying to make expressions that aren't too human but are still readable is a fun challenge.

(And resisting the urge to borrow too much from horses as well)

For years I've been a fan of speculative evolution, but I've never quite found a setting I myself wanted to play with- until I remembered things like mist deserts exist. I actually started with the plants, and moved out from there.
The "Baleen" aliens. they are an eight limbed species, with a green-yellow color scheme mostly. Males sport blues and oranges as well, along with bright blue tusks. The first limbs have two free "thumbs", and two middle fingers joined by skin. The forelegs are three toed, with bristle like structures on the middle toe similar to baleen in whales. the secondary, smaller limbs also have this "baleen", and the rear limbs are solely for support, with thick paw pads and blue claws. The infant and child sizes are shown as well in the bottom right corner.

also have a #coelacanth oc design. Not sure what I'll do with them, but it's fun to have them all the same.

It always amuses me when someone starts a small trend of #Kitsundae for a few orders- including hard candy or sour gummies for DND dice tails!

I won't lie, the marshmallow wizard is my favorite of the batch.

A couple cute pictures of Astrid I've gotten this week.
(Poor baby is going to the vet tomorrow due to a hopefully harmless lump on her neck, so I'm thinking about her a lot at work today.)

Also yours truly had a real rough morning today. Bad dream, didn't eat a proper breakfast, and handling my first big project at work.
Got way better after lunch but, have a pre-lunch doodle that fit my unfortunate vibe.
