The US Postal Service recommends, and we agree, that if you're using mail to return your ballot, do it at least a week before election day. Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, February 10.

We received multiple requests to open the ballot drop boxes in Silverdale at the skate/dog park (The skate park and dog park are separate, but we've seen videos of dogs on skateboards.) and at the KCSO substation. Go to www.kitsap.gov/auditor/Page... to see a list and a map of drop box locations.

Ballots for voters in the Bremerton and North Kitsap School Districts were mailed yesterday. Ballots will begin arriving today.

Voters in the North Kitsap and Bremerton school district boundaries will be part of the Feb. 10, 2026 Special Election. If you're not sure if you live within one of those boundaries, log into VoteWA.gov to see if you will be receiving a ballot.

Voters in the NK School District will have two measures to vote on and voters in the Bremerton School District will have one in the February 10 Special Election. Read the arguments for and against the measures online at kcowa.us/lvp. The arguments will also be included in your voters' pamphlets.
