I have zero signs of dementia- early late or otherwise. I just deal with by brain as I find it. Oh- I didn't like school, but didn't realize until much later that it was the way I was taught that was the problem. I love to learn things.

Far as I know, I'm not on the spectrum, but who knows? I do know my brain works a little differently in some instances. I can remember many things that I hear, apparently forever. (I do NOT have HSAM) yet I have to use memory aids to remember the names of some of my flowers. 1/2

Thanks. I never thought of myself as being "different" until I got to Kindergarten and discovered that no one else was reading Alice in Wonderland and the teacher wanted me out of her class.

Well now! I just learned something. I didn't know what hyperlexic was so I looked it up. I guess it could be applied to me because I could read before 5, but it was because my grandmother taught me to. Never occurred to her that I might be too young. I thought it was normal.
