I don't care if nobody reads my posts. I'm just here to throw my thoughts out into a void occasionally.

I've experienced infantilisation of being a minority by some mega-liberal colleague who thinks I need special protection from the world because I happen to like the same gender and more for some time.

They clearly think I am a token minority, because I helped with setting up virtual pride events.

I just had a friend try to explain to me a controversy about some dude named Kingman and $40,000 for a Marvel Rivals tournament.

My takeaway is... I hope I never am in a position where I'm paid to play video games, because that sounds like a miserable experience.

I'm not even going to pretend this isn't deeply unhealthy.

I will defend Frieren: Beyond Journey's End with my dying breath.

No anime has made my partners eyes light up as much as this one.

I haven't seen someone experience a sense of wonder like this since I was a child experiencing LoTR with my friends for the first time.

How are people so bad with money...

Genuinely, I see people thousands in depreciating asset debt with NOTHING to show for it.

People I went to school with have these flashy cars but still live with their parents; my DOOD - the payments on that car could have got you a decent rate mortgage!

I can't engage with a lot of the people on this platform, honestly.

"I can't live without DoorDash being cheap as I use it everyday but I think they should be paying everyone a $30 an hour plus tips and lose money on every transaction"

You can't have both under the system we are stuck with. STFU.

There needs to be more visibility on this. Millennials and Gen Z are FAILING as parents. They are failing their children. To a WORSE degree than our parents failed us.
I thought school age children not being toilet trained was daily mail propaganda. Holy fucking shit it's real. My cousin is one of the offenders, the kid is 5 years old and is not toilet trained. They're not even the only one in their class.

What the fuck.

Finding out this game is anti-consumer whilst watching people (who clearly have no intention of playing it) defend it is so funny to me.

No doubt it's harvesting your data off your machines too! Hence why I can't play it on Linux/Proton.

Genuinely can't believe there are people defending this.
Okay I wrote like 3000 words last night after a long drought. I'm rewarding myself with a treat:

ROLLING MY EYES AT HIGHGUARD DOING THE SAME LIVE SERVICE ANTI-CONSUMER BULLSHIT FROM TEN YEARS AGO LIKE THEY'RE A WASHED UP COMIC DOING A SET FROM THE GLORY DAYS IN THE FIESTA ROOM OF A HOLIDAY INN.

I REALLY don't like how people are nodding along because they have some weird bugbear about Steam versus- (what, who do you think is the 'good' platform here?)

Especially when the Lawsuit is being filed by some kind of 'Protect the Children' org.

At least this one looks slightly more legit but...
PC games giant Valve has been told it has to face a £656 million lawsuit in the UK, which claims the Steam giant's revenue share is too high and negatively impacts consumers.

The amount of people cheering on this lawsuit on this site blows my mind.

Nobody is pursuing Playstation, Nintendo, or Microsoft. Of which, two of which are essentially spyware machines to profit off your data.

As a someone who stands to benefit from this tribunal, I do not endorse it.

The new Fable game has piqued my interest; but wow that combat looks painfully generic. The Witcher 3 really did set a standard... which became boring after the 80th game with the same system.

It's weird that when you challenge someones perspective on this site. They lump you in with the extreme opinions they see - instead of trying to have a normal conversation to understand the other perspective. Especially happens on less serious topics.

Are these people like this in-person, I wonder?

The nominations for this years Oscars really goes to show how shit 2025 was for artistic ventures.

Finally got around to Dragon Age: The Veilguard. I understand why this game is controversial. There's not actually a lot of player choice for an "RPG".

Also, why can't I use blood magic?
January 20, 2026 at 8:03 PM
Everyone was begging for a Titanfall sequel, or at the very least - a spiritual successor; but the best we're getting is a generic hero shooter (that looks AI generated) in the form of Highguard.

Some genres of games really are doomed, aren't they?

Do people actually get emotionally invested in YouTubers and Twitch streamers, or is this a perpetually online bit folks are playing?
January 18, 2026 at 3:45 PM
I found it today it really pisses off your very conservative family when you refer to them as the lesser lifeforms of the bloodline.

True betrayal is spending 3 months writing a D&D campaign as a new DM; asking people to put in character sheets and them not being interested in playing anymore because the D&D craze has died down.

Sadge.

I harassed a Pokemon Scalper today in the store. He looked exactly how you expected him to.

Regardless of how you feel about Venezuela's politics, leaders, and dealings.

Innocent people are in the crosshairs by another terrorist superpower; and that should make you angry.

Merry Christmas to everyone except the people who refuse to cook, and go out to dinner at a restaurant. Then get annoyed at the place being under-staffed.

I'm so tired of the men's section of clothing stores being a tiny little corner; with some plain t-shirts, and a couple pairs of ill-fitting jeans.

We deserve better than this.

Laughing my ass off at the TikTok deal.

It's an app for little children to do dances on folks. Please learn to regulate your online activity if this is truly devastating news for you.
