They've settled on bikes on sidewalks, at least with pedal bikes it was more or less under 10 mph. The majority of ebikes are flying by at 20+ in amongst walkers, pets, and kids trying to walk to sports/school/library, etc. Add the e-scooters.

I'm fine with licensing.

I'm not opposed - our suburb allows bikes of all types on the sidewalks.

AI accelerate the regression to the mean. (I acknowledge a lot of bad writers out there will benefit (in their work and ability to be understood), but I don't think they'll get much better at doing it themselves).

I'm not sure how I learned, but somewhat related to the article - I read Clockwork Orange as a college freshman(not for a class), and had no idea until I was done that there was a glossary in the back.

As someone who recently and for the first time got sucked into Outlook online/Onedrive, I suppose I can relate. (Also related, I recently started a graduate program and the past two have been working with a dataset that has over 1M rows/400 columns).

This BS and the “peer” review will be the end of many physicians on the edge.

Network bandwidth a thing?

Yeah, they're rolling out the AI pre-auth in Ohio for some parts of Medicare.

Nothing goes together like factory made sauce and factory builder. I'd guess you could factor out the factory to make it factory(builder + sauce).

I believe the previous was mandated by the father (or part ways). Shocking, I know.

No love for Amstel Gold.

I do have some insight-ish. I worked at a bakery that was part-owned by James Salter, the screenwriter of Downhill Racer, who remained quite good friends with Redford throughout his career. Salter's writing is wonderful, I really enjoyed his memoir Burning the Days. Both were lovely people.

If I had to make a guess, that was taken around the time of the filming of Downhill Racer.

Maybe - Quebec-ers 1-2 would certainly be so.

The amount of time spent debunking media bs during office visits is staggering (I acknowledge your pain on this topic).

"I am behind the times and determined to stay there." - on some level I can relate.

I would have come to complete stop in outside of corner, but having been on the receiving end of the brother's asshattery I am also not surprised.

Seems like a natural thing - Roglic is older and probably in the last fat contract ever, so why not do things with a more personal flair? (& I would expect more of it in the remainder of his career)

Every rider past 8th was over 10% behind the winner - ooff.
(noted that original cut is set at 33%)

Eh, ticket prices were already a quite dynamic thing?

Adjacent point - excellent time to learn (parts of) a new language, the commentary is usually quite good in Dutch or French. (Of course in the past I have had a little head start with Dutch, French is more difficult)
