yup yup yup. i remember that. and that would've been hard to explain for the OG 90s censorship-loving american company that dubbed them. now we get the full breadth of sailor moon with the new dubs, but i miss molly's brooklyn accent something fierce haha.

yup the last season was never dubbed in the OG dubs. the sailor stars season if i remember? where sailor starlights went from men to women in senshi transformations. which is a big mood for trans themes and probably not something a 90s american company wanted to deal with. we've come a long way.

the voice actors also had a lot more character than the current redub, even if the redub fits the original content better tbqh. same thing happened with escaflowne. the OG english dubs for that one are just chef's kiss. dilandau's voice actor in particular knocked it out of the park.

aww im sorry you lost it. the original dub of sailor moon is one of my favorite things in the world. molly is from brooklyn and it sends me every time.
