I love how Olden Era plays but honestly... I don't dig the units design, they're very cartoony :(, compare these two dragons (heroes V dragon to the left)

My favorite hydras are simply multi-headed snakes, with or without front arms, (normally not much of a fan of dragon headed hydras tbh), but I have to say Heroes V having a sauropod ass hydra was extremely cool and interesting

Not a dracolich :) but my take for fun on the first ever design of the dnd black dragons in 1e, decided to make it slender rather than bulky since they used to be more... cunning based rather than physical powerhouses.
Funny that they had skeleton wings rather than skull inspired faces
