Disappointed with current politics; the Right's resurgence; the Left's disappearance. Not much consolation other than that LNP would likely be worse than current Labor govt. No DMs, thanks.
I'd have trouble cutting the bits of fruit. 🤗

They seemed to be good friends at Charlie's memorial.

Great to see you in the pool again, Bridie. Just a little treat for you.

Let's hope Sussan budgets for all the High Court challengeses.

He certainly showed himself no friend of Victoria during covid.

My understanding is that Albo was not invited to that funeral, and Josh Avanothergo was invited to speak. Of course, there is no politicisation of this sad event.

Andrew Nagy offered this brilliant piece (in Facebook, of all places!). Well worth reading (sorry for the screenshots, and in what order they might appear 🙄).

Sorry, but I pinched this from another post.

Jewish skull cap / kippa / yarmulke. Worn by Jews, but also by non-Jews, when visiting a Jewish place of worship (which Minns may have just done). In this case, possibly, as a sign of solidarity.

I wonder who is organising these events, and inviting speakers. Josh "Avanothergo?" Frydenberg claimed that the Jewish community has been betrayed by "governments". Doubtless referring to Labor govts in Sydney and Canberra. But was he also thinking of the one of which he was so prominent a member?

Thank you, Cathy.

Media is playing to conflict, division, revenge, judgement, blame, plus cheap politicisation. These 'sell papers" but do nothing for the nation as we are and as we must become. A pox on them all!
December 16, 2025 at 11:42 PM
Obviously, LNP's intellectual giants on the job. This will be interesting.

His response to Port Arthur was his one shining moment, I guess. Inevitable that he be wheeled out for comment, but then was reminded that the shooting must be politicised.
December 16, 2025 at 11:02 PM
Thank you, Ronni. As a male, one is reluctant to seem ad hominem in commenting on a female. I was going to say: I'm not sure she is very bright. You've done it so much better. 🤩
December 15, 2025 at 8:58 AM
Good on you!

But, who dare confront them? They do it once, get away with it, then do it again.....and again....and again.
December 11, 2025 at 7:46 AM
Agree with your basic point, but a "robust public service", these days, has become a super-salaried front line defence against transparency in government.
December 8, 2025 at 11:54 PM
Not sure embarrassment is a factor. Rather, I believe, a refusal to acknowledge the Senate Estimates authority. We are seeing an absolute conga line of cynical refusers who see themselves as untouchable.
December 3, 2025 at 11:14 AM
And Murray Watt fiddles with his phone, obviously confident nothing will be revealed by the Secretary.
December 2, 2025 at 6:54 AM
The sheer cynicism of this person's every appearance before Senate Estimates is astounding.
