I would rather Nintendo charge $60 for everything, but I also think it’s stupid to have two versions that are Switch 1 compatible. What is the point of that?

Right, but Nintendo has charged $70 for Switch 1 games before. Why not just create one SKU for $70 instead of segmenting the audience with two versions? It's redundant to print a Switch 2 cart that also contains the Switch 1 game.

This was the thing I stated earlier in the year, was told I was wrong about, and then wound up being correct about when the console launched. It's not a new find, but it's very odd that Nintendo even produces two versions. Just sell the damn game on a single cart for $70 and be done with it.

That's the rub here. Steam can do whatever the hell it wants and not sell games it feels have violated some TOS. Not telling the devs what they can do to change that decision is ridiculous.
